The photo was taken in 1955. I bought some presents here at this PX.
We left Hickham in a Constellation aircraft and got halfway to Travis Air
Force Base in California when one of the engines caught fire. We were
bucking a headwind so the pilot decided to turn around and go back to
Hawaii. That's why I got to go shopping in the PX and visit many places. |
